National Dark Sky Week

Yes, Dark Sky Week is upon us (check out my header this week). I don’t really think this idea will catch on this year or the next to give us a really black sky better to stargaze at, but hopefully the ball is rolling and soon many will participate once they know about this. It’s a friggin awesome idea. (Thanks to BadAstronomy.com for the heads up!)

National Dark-Sky Week occurs on the week of the new moon in April since a full moon increases the light pollution. Therefore, NDSW for 2007 will be from April 17-24.
